We received many enquiries about the Illegal Stayed Foreigner PATI (Pendatang Asing Tanpa Izin) legalization since our Home Minister, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin made a statement that PATI might get a chance to be hired legally on 17 Jun 2020. Then, Human Resources Minister, Datuk Seri M. Saravanan stopped new hiring of foreign workers until the year-end.
In the same month of 10th , ministry of human resources JTKSM (Jabatan Tenage Kerja Semenanjung Malaysia) made a statement that foreign workers in Malaysia are allowed to be transferred to new employer and the program is called REHIRING. Due to this unclear term, many employers think PATI legalization is launched. Off-course, we know many of them are cheated by freelancer. Here, we urge you to take advice from private employment agency, category C (APS lesen C) on related matters.
Recently, Human Resources Minister, Datuk Seri M. Saravanan made another statement that employers must advertise the vacancies first on the national employment portal, MYFutureJobs before you hire a foreign worker through rehiring program on 26 Oct 2020.
So, the rumor about PATI legalization is getting worse in market. We even notice that M company is promoting the rehiring program which we think it’s misleading the public. The latest update was Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement that government is considering issuing temporary work permits to illegal foreign workers in the country to overcome the shortage of foreign workers on 30 Oct 2020.
Let this be our last word, don’t hire a PATI because you can be fined or imprisoned and don’t trust the rumor about the PATI legalization.
